What is ASNT?
American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) is a technical society for training, development and certification in Non-Destructive Testing. It provides guidance for development of standards and services for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel.

What is ASNT certification?
It is a certification of proficiency and ability to conduct NDT test. It is impartial validation for a competency of NDT personnel. The testing operator performing the particular test examination requires certain type of knowledge. With ASNT certification it shows that the operator is trained in specific standards and is qualified and certified in particular method of NDT.

What are different ASNT levels?
Their are total of 3 different levels: Level I, level II and level III. Level I is the lowest qualifiable level and is specified for testing job under supervision by level II personnel. Level II is related to testing and also have authority to sign test reports in order to to verify these report. Level III is the highest qualifiable level and the personnel can certify level I and level II personnel. These personnel are also involved in creating standard operating procedures for particular object or task as per the requirements of the job.

Where is ASNT certification useful?
ASNT certification is necessary for a personnel to be qualified for performing NDT tests as well as to train other personnel. It certifies the technical knowledge of the personnel(s).
